One day in September of 2003, on a West Hollywood street, Lara Alameddine and Daniel Dubiecki were walking Lily, Lara’s family dog, a 5 pound yorkie. Lily stepped on a shard of glass, injuring her paw. At the request of Lily’s vet, they set out to find a pair of protective dog shoes so this would not happen again. Lily did not approve of the ineffective and awkward looking shoes they found, so they set out to create something comfortable and cute enough for Lily's good taste. Lilyboots were invented and Little Lily was born. Lara and Daniel's vision of the company is to create a lifestyle company that is based in the belief that "your dog is an extension of you" and with the fashion sense that "we make people clothing for dogs" not dog clothing. Over the span of the first year Little Lily’s line grew into Lilytanks, Lilysweats, Lilysweaters, Lilyblankies, Lilybeds, Lilycharms and other stylish accessories. In the second year, Oscar, also a Yorkie, was adopted and now Lily has a new best friend. Both Lily and Oscar, along with fashion runways and magazines, inspire Lara and Daniel when they are creating new designs. Little Lily dresses all the Hollywood “A List” dogs including Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Selma Blair, Tori Spelling, Hillary Duff, Molly Sims, Eva Longoria, and of course the most famous dog owner’s dog Paris Hilton’s dogs. On top of the Hollywood “A List” Little Lily is the go to designer that designs and dresses for Movies like Legally Blonde, and TV shows like So Notorious... The latest Hollywood collaboration has been Little Lily’s Paris Hilton Collection. It was only fitting that they worked with the most famous dog owner and dogs in the world. Paris Hilton and her pup’s made it fashionable to be fashionable! The main focus of the company has been to grow the lifestyle brand aspect of Little Lily. Part of this has been collaborating with other successful iconic character companies like Sanrio to create the Hello Kitty collection by Little Lily. People who grew up with Hello Kitty can now share that part of them with their four legged children. The focus has been and continues to be about the lifestyle of the dog owner and their dog. With a hugely successful high end established brand expanding Little Lily into the Entertainment world is a natural transition. With an established fan base Little Lily has an "A" list reputation for dressing and working with Hollywood's elite so naturally the story of Lily and all of her Hollywood friends came to life and is now being developed into a series of books, films, and an animated television series set to begin launching in fall of 2009. Stay tuned to what Little Lily will have next in store for everyone... |
